Alec Longstreth:
I was born and raised in the woods of the Pacific Northwest, I went to college surrounded by the corfields of the midwest and I have lived all over the place, from Los Angeles to New York City.
For six years I worked as a scenic carpenter, building sets for theater, opera and television. Then I switched gears to focus more on comics and illustration. In 2002 I began self-publishing my comic book PHASE 7 and in 2005 it won the Ignatz Award for Outstanding Minicomic. I also graduated with highest honors from Pratt Intstitute, majoring in Illustration.
I'm currently a Fellow at The Center For Cartoon Studies where I am working on my first graphic novel. It is a good life!
